How to switch to Tech with no Computer Science Background in 3 Minutes
Below are some tips on how to make a career transition into the booming tech industry with no prior experience in computer science and programming. The good news is anyone can do it, no matter your background because the tech industry is so big and diverse and you will always have your own spot. This is how I did it, and you can do it too. As you read through this article, I advise you to always be intentional with the skill of learning and unlearning to achieve your full potential.
A) Take your time
Make Shure you always give yourself time and think about what you really want from this career change.
There are so many career paths and options to take.
Some require coding skills while some don’t. But we will cover that later.
The worst mistake is to get into a new career you may not like while trying to advance.
You know yourself better, reflect on your current situation so be honest with yourself
Then journal everything down to the reasons you want to switch
Also, journal the things that will make you happier in tech. Don’t have to follow the crowd.
Answer yourself truthfully why you are so interested in getting into tech.
B) Research
Make Google your best friend. Take your time.
By this time, I assume you have an idea of what you want to do.
Research the job opportunities in your area of interest
If it’s coding, you want to know the kind of computer programming language you will use.
Do research on the course and resources you will need to learn that skill
NB: Don’t rush this process. This is the most important part

Follow Google trends in your area of interest and tech in general
It’s essential to stay updated with the tech news. You can customize specific keywords s that affect your career path
D) Find and start a community of like-minded People:
This is because they are going to understand the struggles you may be going through. Also good for networking, connection, and learning purposes
It’s key to gaining confidence and getting noticed
E) Start making a consistent plan that will guide you through the following:
A clear plan. Easy to accomplish your goal
Find the right balance on these three when switching
Check if you have the following:

· Aptitude for learning
· Personality
Careers in tech that require coding skills are:

• Data Science etc.

Careers in tech that don’t require Coding skills are:

· Business Analyst
